Save the Date: CPA Stakeholder Session December 6-7 in Brussels
As we conclude the first year of the US-EU Collaboration Platform on Agriculture (CPA), USDA and the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Agriculture and Rural Development invite stakeholders to help us take stock of 2022 accomplishments and discuss the CPA work program for 2023.
Please join us for a stakeholder session hosted by DG AGRI in Brussels, Belgium, December 6-7. USDA’s objective is for U.S. stakeholders to engage in a structured dialogue with our European counterparts about current and future agricultural challenges, to share information and observations about this year’s CPA activities, and to map out an even more robust CPA work plan for 2023.
We’ll also have a chance to get out of the conference room on December 7 for a field visit to a location in France, not far from Brussels, to see how European agriculture is addressing sustainability challenges. In addition, there will be plenty of time for networking on both days.
Registration for the two-day session will open on Wednesday, September 14, at 3 p.m. EDT, with space available for 35 U.S. (non-USDA) stakeholders to join in-person (subject to local COVID numbers, regulations, and requirements). Participants will be required to pay their own travel, lodging, and related expenses. Our EU hosts will provide lunch both days.
For those unable to travel, there will be a remote participation option for the December 6 discussions. Our hosts are still exploring options for possible remote participation in the field visit.
