The Brazilian orange crop for 2016/17 is forecast at 351.7 million boxes, down 14 percent from the previous crop, due to weather-related problems during blossoming and fruit setting. Total frozen concentrate orange juice (FCOJ) production is forecast at 885,000 mt, down 11 percent from the previous year due to expected lower volume of oranges for crushing. FCOJ ending stocks are forecast at 123,000 mt, 65 Brix, down 38,000 mt relative to the previous season, due to projected lower product availability.
