Ukraine: Oilseeds and Products Annual

  |   Attaché Report (GAIN)

Soybean crush and subsequent oil and meal exports are on the rise for MY2018/19 due to recent changes in Ukraine’s domestic tax policy. These changes in taxation may also result in shrinking soybean area in 2019, as this crop will likely become less profitable for farmers. Farmers planted more winter rapeseed for MY2019/20, paving the way for more exports. Post forecasts that MY2019/20 sunflower production will be slightly lower compared to the bumper crop in the previous MY.
