Ukraine: Grain and Feed Update

This report contains revised estimates for MY2016/17 as well as forecasts for MY2017/18. Ukraine has completed harvest of wheat, barley and rye. Corn harvest is still in progress with 20 percent of the crop harvested at the time of this report’s publication. Available production numbers for MY2017/18, as well as actual export volumes for MY2016/17, indicate that Ukraine will remain an active exporter in the Black Sea region for wheat, barley and corn. Rye remains a marginal crop mainly utilized for domestic consumption.

Senegal: Grain and Feed Annual

Governments’ support for inputs and rice production have lifted area harvested and yields, boosting production across much of the region. Marketing year (MY) 2024/25 area harvested for rice in Senegal, Guinea, Burkina Faso, and Mali is projected up 1.7 percent year-over-year.
