Ukraine: FAIRS Annual Country Report Annual

  |   Attaché Report (GAIN)   |   UP2021-0026

There have been significant changes to Ukrainian regulations related to agricultural product quality, safety, and sanitary measures since the previous FAIRS Annual Country Report. Under a regulatory approximation agenda with the European Union, Ukraine adopted a new Law on Veterinary Medicine as well as numerous regulations which change requirements related to food and feed safety, product labeling, maximum residue levels of veterinary drugs, nutritional and health claims for food products, infant formula safety, vitamin and mineral supplements, and product sample imports. This report updates these sections and adds multiple references to recently submitted FAIRS subject reports, which explain these new regulations in greater detail.
