Serbia: FAIRS Annual Country Report

  |   Attaché Report (GAIN)   |   RB2023-0007
This report provides insights into Serbian regulations and standards pertaining to food, agriculture, agricultural products, and foreign trade. It covers topics such as labeling, packaging, food additives, and import procedures. In the year 2023, Serbia adopted two amendments to the existing laws and introduced over a hundred by-laws, encompassing various rules and ordinances. Despite the significant rise in input costs for agricultural production, food prices, and the second summer drought in a row, Serbia is projected to maintain an adequate food supply for the domestic market and potentially have surplus quantities available for export in the coming year.
