On December 18, 2020, the European Commission published a Regulation eliminating EU customs duties for fresh and frozen lobsters from August 1, 2020 to July 31, 2025.
U.S. exports to Kazakhstan have done well this year, in spite of a variety of obstacles to U.S. exports in Kazakhstan (economic climate, tenge devaluation, transit issues).
U.S. exports of fish and seafood reached a record $5.3 billion in FY 2014. Recent growth in U.S. exports has primarily been due to increased volume rather than higher prices.
