On July 31, 2019, the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) issued Decision No. 127, establishing tariff-rate quotas (TRQs) and respective volumes for imports of meat, poultry, and whey into the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). In line with the WTO commitments, Russia will eliminate its pork TRQs as of January 1, 2020, while Russia’s TRQ volumes for other products will remain unchanged from 2019. Belarus and Kazakhstan TRQ volumes also remained unchanged, and as in previous years, Armenia will have no TRQs in 2020. As for Kyrgyzstan, it will slightly increase access for poultry while reducing its beef TRQ in 2020.
