Russia: Russian Spring Campaign Amid COVID-19 - Accelerated Sowing and Current Challenges

In late March-early April 2020, the Russian Ministry of Agriculture has been actively reporting on the status of the spring campaign for grains, oilseeds and sugar beets in 2020/21. According to that reporting, the spring campaign started two weeks earlier this season throughout the country. This is related to the unusually warm winter 2020 in the main agricultural regions.
