Romania continues to be one of the European Union’s (EU) most progressive and pro-science Member States (MS) regarding agricultural biotechnology, although no biotech crops have been grown since 2015. Imported genetically-engineered (GE) soybean meal is widely used as a feed ingredient in Romania.
