Peruvian ethanol production in 2020 is forecast at 170 million liters, a slight reduction from 173 million liters from the previous year. Ethanol consumption for 2020 is forecast at 187 million liters, decreasing 8 percent from 2019. Fuel ethanol imports in 2020 are forecast at 179 million liters, mostly from the United States. Peru is forecast to produce 134 million liters of biodiesel in 2020, a 12 percent decrease on the previous year due to lowered demand during the COVID-19 national quarantine. Biodiesel imports in 2020 are forecast at 170 million liters, a 7 percent decrease compared to the previous year due to lower demand.
