Mexico: Mexico's 2024 Agricultural Budget Maintains Focus on Social Programs

Mexico’s 2024 federal government budget for the Secretariat of Agriculture and Rural Development (SADER) is USD 4.3 billion, a five percent increase compared to the 2023 budget. Over 70 percent of the budget is allocated to assistance programs that provide in-kind benefits such as fertilizers to small-scale producers and milk to low-income families.
