Mexico: Extension of Presidential Anti-Inflation Decree

On December 27, 2023 the Government of Mexico published a presidential decree to extend the exemption of tariffs and easing of administrative procedures for the importation of basic food basket products through December 31, 2024. The extension aims to control food inflation with Mexico's presidential and governor, state, and legislative elections nearly five months away in June 2024.
