Mexico: Deadline for Organic Imports into Mexico to Meet Organic Standards Remains June 2021

Mexico maintains its deadline for organic product imports of bulk/raw material to be certified under its organics law (LPO) by June 26, 2021. The products included are listed by harmonized system (HS) tariff code contained within the “Acuerdo” published in December 2020. Mexico will conduct a seminar on April 12, 2021 for interested U.S. industry and certifiers to highlight the certification process and interested U.S. parties should contact SENASICA, the National Organic Program, or FAS Mexico City to attend.
