This report is an overview and update of Japan’s food and agricultural import regulations and standards (FAIRS) for U.S. agricultural exports to Japan. While every possible care has been taken in preparation of this report, information provided may no longer be complete or precise as some import requirements are subject to frequent changes. U.S. exporters should ensure that all necessary custom clearance requirements have been verified with local authorities through foreign importers before the sales conditions are finalized.
