India: Government of India Increases Tariff on Certain Agricultural Imports

On May 23, the GOI’s Ministry of Finance (MOF) published notification numbers 45/2018 and 46/2018 regarding increases in the Basic Customs Duty (BCD) on several imported agricultural products including shelled almonds, in-shell walnuts, wheat, protein concentrate and textured protein substances. The MOF notification, which applies to all third country suppliers of the identified product, entered into force immediately from the date of publication on May 23.
