El Salvador: Food Processing Ingredients

  |   Attaché Report (GAIN)

El Salvador continues to increase its agricultural imports from the world, especially raw materials and semi-processed diverse food preparation. In 2018, El Salvador imported almost $2 billion of agricultural products. It continues to be regional leader in the production of juices, carbonated beverages and cornbased snacks. As the HRI sector continues to grow, the food service market is key for local food/beverage manufacturers, but it is also a great opportunity for U.S. suppliers of ingredients.
