Croatia imports a significant portion of the food it consumes. Croatia has not been immune to the global economic crisis and still faces significant challenges. However, continuing economic reforms as a result of EU accession and growing tourism make Croatia a potential market for certain US food products, such as seafood, snack foods, pet food, wine, tree nuts, and rice.
