Costa Rican total agricultural imports sales reached US$ 735 million, 43 percent of the total sales represented by consumer oriented products in 2019. While U.S. ingredients exports have grown, there is increased competition from Chile, Central and South America as Costa Rican processors seek to diversify their suppliers.
