China: Revised Draft Oil Seed Standard Notified

On February 12, 2024, the People’s Republic of China (PRC) notified the National Standard for Seed of Economic Crops – Part 2: Oil Species (Draft) to the World Trade Organization (WTO). The revised draft standard pertains to seeds for sowing/planting and specifies the quality requirements, testing methods, and testing rules for planting seeds of rapeseed, sunflower, peanuts, sesame, and oil flax. The deadline for submitting public comments on the revised draft is April 12, 2024.
