China: Import Guidance for Trade Show Samples
This report provides guidance on how U.S. exporters can send sample products for display at trade shows in China. Most products are eligible for duty free entry and simplified regulatory requirements. However, some U.S. exporters have recently reported that requests for duty free have been rejected by Chinese customs officials. U.S. exporters are advised to coordinate closely with their freight forwarders in advance to minimize potential disruptions.
