Chile: Dairy and Products Annual

In Marketing Year (MY) 2020, Chilean dairy production increased by 6.3 percent totaling 1.3 billion liters. Additionally, Chile’s dairy imports increased by 7.5 percent in value in MY2020 (January to July data). In MY2019, skim milk powder was one of the top products that the United States exported to Chile, totaling $27 million. The Government of Chile (GOC) and the Chilean dairy industry are focusing on promoting the country as a safe and sustainable source of dairy products and recently launched a joint public-private pilot project for that purpose.
