Fi Asia is a USDA-endorsed regional trade show that brings together food ingredient manufacturers from many countries. The annual event serves as a platform for networking, knowledge sharing, and exploring new business opportunities.

Leaders from three state agriculture departments and 29 U.S. agribusinesses and organizations will accompany U.S. Department of Agriculture Under Secretary Alexis M. Taylor on a trade mission to Southeast Asia October 30 – November 3 to expand export opportunities for U.S. food and farm products to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), the world’s fourth-largest market.

USDA's Under Secretary for Trade and Foreign Agricultural Affairs Alexis Taylor arrived in Panama City today to launch an agribusiness trade mission. Taylor and a delegation of representatives from agribusiness and farm organizations and state departments of agriculture look to develop stronger ties and build economic partnerships between the United States and Panama and markets throughout CAFTA-DR region.

USDA's Under Secretary for Trade and Foreign Agricultural Affairs Alexis M. Taylor will lead a delegation of 26 agribusinesses and farm organizations to Panama City, Panama, from March 19 to 23.

Deputy Secretary Jewel Bronaugh traveled to Bali Sept. 27-29 to attend the G20 Agriculture Ministers’ Meeting, making the case for joint action on food security, climate, agricultural innovation, sustainable productivity growth, and closer global integration through trade.

USDA will invest $178 million in seven international development projects on four continents to support U.S. government priorities including promoting climate-smart agriculture, facilitating trade and addressing the root causes of migration in Central America.

Private exporters reported the following activity: 144,907 MT of corn for delivery to Costa Rica during MY 2022/2023 and 105,664 MT of corn for delivery to unknown destinations during MY 2021/2022.

Throughout 2021, FAS was proud to support USDA's efforts to create more and better markets for U.S. agriculture, to address the climate crisis, and to promote nutrition and food security.
