From September 9-13, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Foreign Agricultural Service held a multi-city Agribusiness Trade Mission (ATM) in Vietnam. Under Secretary for Trade and Foreign Agricultural Affairs Alexis M. Taylor led one of the largest USDA trade missions, which included representatives from 33 U.S. businesses, 9 State Departments of Agriculture, and 23 USDA cooperators.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Foreign Agricultural Service will host its first-ever trade mission to Bangkok, Thailand, Feb. 3-6, 2025. Current and potential U.S. exporters interested in participating should apply for consideration by Oct. 29.

U.S. Department of Agriculture Under Secretary for Trade and Foreign Agricultural Affairs Alexis M. Taylor arrived in Ho Chi Minh City today to launch a USDA-sponsored agribusiness trade mission.

Under Secretary for Trade and Foreign Agricultural Affairs Alexis M. Taylor will lead a U.S. Department of Agriculture trade mission to Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, Vietnam, Sept. 9-13, joined by representatives from 58 agribusinesses and organizations and nine state governments that represent the diversity of U.S. agriculture.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Foreign Agricultural Service is accepting applications from current and potential U.S. exporters for a trade mission to Vietnam, Sept. 9-13, 2024. Participants will attend events in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, and will also have the opportunity to engage with visiting buyers from Burma (Myanmar), Cambodia and Thailand.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture Under Secretary for Trade and Foreign Agricultural Affairs Alexis Taylor will lead the agribusiness trade mission to New Delhi, India, from April 22-25, 2024. USDA is now accepting applications from U.S. exporters who wish to join this delegation.

Leaders from three state agriculture departments and 29 U.S. agribusinesses and organizations will accompany U.S. Department of Agriculture Under Secretary Alexis M. Taylor on a trade mission to Southeast Asia October 30 – November 3 to expand export opportunities for U.S. food and farm products to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), the world’s fourth-largest market.

Agriculture Secretary Vilsack today announced the United States is investing $455 million to strengthen global food security and international capacity-building efforts.

For FY 2023, USDA anticipates awarding up to $224 million in new McGovern-Dole cooperative agreements. USDA has identified the following as priority countries for FY 2023: Cameroon, Haiti, Mozambique, Nepal, Nicaragua, Sri Lanka, and Togo.

USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service is tapping into the uniting experiences of food and sports by shining a spotlight on high-quality, safe, delicious, and sustainably produced U.S. foods during the 2022 FIFA World Cup, underway in Qatar.

FAS is awarding $300,000 to six U.S. universities – including three minority-serving institutions – for research and educational partnerships focused on climate-smart agriculture in tropical countries.
