Thailand: Oilseeds and Products Annual

  |   Attaché Report (GAIN)

Thailand’s imports of soybeans and soybean meal will be limited due to feed demand growth of only 1 to  2 percent in MY2018/19 and MY2019/20. Despite increasing palm oil production, both palm growers and palm oil crushers are struggling to cope with low prices. To address this issue, the Thai government has attempted to increase palm oil utilization and provide direct payments to palm growers.
