Serbia: FAIRS Export Certificate Report

  |   Attaché Report (GAIN)

This report provides guidance on the certificate requirements for agricultural and food products imported into the Serbian market and includes the certificates that are standardized between the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management (MAFWM) in Serbia and the relevant U.S. authorities (USDA/APHIS, USDA/FSIS, USDA/AMS, and FDA). During 2017, USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) and the Serbian Veterinary Directorate standardized five health certificates: the certificate for non-commercial movement of five or fewer dogs, cats or ferrets, the certificate for non-commercial movement of pet birds, the certificate for non-commercial movement of invertebrate pets and fish and rodents and the certificate for treated blood products, excluding equidae, for the manufacture of derived products for purpose outside the feed chain for farmed animals. APHIS and MAFWM are still working on revising the veterinary health certificates related to canned and processed pet food and dog chews.
