Tunisia is continuing to postpone non-urgent matters in front of major political and economic reforms. As a result, Tunisia’s biosafety framework, which was drafted in 2014, remains on hold with no timeframe for a review and parliamentary vote.

Central Asia is a diverse, important corner of the world and a growing market for U.S. goods. Favorable winter growing conditions set Tunisia up for an above average 2024 harvest. The wheat and barley crops have developed well entering the most critical growing period in April.

Tunisian MY 2024/25 soybean imports are expected to reach 555,000 MT, compared to 550,000 MT in MY 2023/24 as demand for animal feed increases slightly.
