MinFAL plans to grant 11.6 billion TL ($3.87billion) in agricultural subsidies to producers in 2016.
Total wheat production for Turkey is forecast at 17.5 MMT in MY2016/17. Barley production in Turkey is forecast at 4.75 MMT in MY2016/17, down 35 percent from the MY2015/16 estimate.
Turkish soybean area and production for MY 2016 are now estimated about 33,000 hectares and 120,000 MT, respectively.
