There is no commercial production of genetically engineered (GE) crops in Jamaica.
Jamaica is one of the main tourist destinations in the Caribbean region, with over two million tourist arrivals in 2015. Approximately 1.3 millions of these tourists were from the United States.
Ghana’s National Biosafety Authority remains on track in strengthening its capacity to provide required supervisory services to relevant stakeholders under its watch.
