China: Pinewood Log and Lumber Import Requirements Updated

On December 20, 2021, the General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China (GACC) released Announcement No. 110 of 2021 titled Phytosanitary Requirements for Pine Wood from Countries with Pine Wood Nematode Presence.
The General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China has updated the list of designated ports of entry for imported logs.
Japan opened the public comment for newly developed Japanese Agricultural Standards (JAS) for wood pellet fuel. Comments are due to the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries by December 9, 2021.
