Post projects 2025 Argentine chicken meat production to rise to 2.55 million metric tons (MMT), while exports are projected at 180,000 metric tons as the Chinese market remains closed to Argentine exports.
Argentine beef exports in 2025 are projected at a record 860,000 tons, carcass weight equivalent (cwe) as beef production is forecast to increase marginally.
Post projects Calendar Year (CY) 2024 Argentine chicken meat production at 2.4 million metric tons (MT), up slightly from CY2023 levels. CY2024 exports are projected at 140,000 MT as Argentina recovers from its first Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) outbreak.

Post projects 2023 Argentine chicken meat production at 2.38 million metric tons, up very slightly from 2022 levels, while 2023 exports are projected at 190,000 tons, up 4 percent from 2022. Argentine exporters have gained new export opportunities as a result of trade disruptions stemming from the conflict in Ukraine, and these gains are expected to be maintained in the short term.
