Saudi Arabia: Saudi Arabia Increases Import Duty on some Food Products

Saudi Arabia is increasing import tariffs on a wide range of products effective June 10, 2020. The increases cover 2718 HS codes and include numerous food and agriculture products. Examples of the increases include: tariffs for dairy spreads increasing from 5 percent currently to 15 percent, tariffs on some poultry products increasing from 20 percent currently to 25 percent, and tariffs on vegetables and sheep increasing from zero percent currently to 15 and 7 percent, respectively. Most of the increases are to Saudi Arabia’s bound tariff rate.
