New Zealand: FAIRS Country Report

  |   Attaché Report (GAIN)

New Zealand has strict biosecurity rules for plant and animal products but also imports large volumes of food and beverage products. This report outlines regulatory requirements for food and agricultural products exported to New Zealand. This report has been reviewed and updated to reflect current laws and regulations. The new Food Act passed in 2014, which is now being implemented, will result in new food safety regulations over time and this may necessitate changes to the Import Health Standards documents.
