In the last few years, Morocco’s food distribution system has seen significant changes with the expansion of retail food outlets and the opening of new supermarket stores. Today, six supermarket chains, held by four operators, are present in Morocco. The group SNI, owner of Marjane Holding group, operates 38 Marjane hypermarkets and 47 ACIMA supermarkets. Label Vie group has a federation of 60 stores, including 5 Carrefour hypermarkets, 45 Carrefour Market supermarkets, and 10 Atacadao retail stores.

Senegal: Grain and Feed Annual

Governments’ support for inputs and rice production have lifted area harvested and yields, boosting production across much of the region. Marketing year (MY) 2024/25 area harvested for rice in Senegal, Guinea, Burkina Faso, and Mali is projected up 1.7 percent year-over-year.
