Morocco: Citrus Semi-annual

  |   Attaché Report (GAIN)   |   MO2021-0015

Moroccan MY 2020/21 citrus production has benefitted from improved weather and consistent rain. However, Post’s production estimates remain unchanged, based on no new official Moroccan production data. Moroccan citrus exporters report they face competition from Egypt, Turkey, and Spain. Post has revised down MY 2020/21 export figures for fresh oranges and lemons/limes in response to strong domestic sales. Post adjusted trade numbers for tangerines/mandarins and oranges in MY 2019/20 based on final data from Morocco’s office des changes.
