Jordan: Jordan Issues Instructions for Handling of GE Derived Food and Food Products

On April 3, 2020, Jordan issued a new regulation regarding the importation of products labeled as containing genetically engineered (GE) ingredients. The regulation establishes a five percent threshold for labeling purposes, and allows the importation of GE-labeled food products as long as the product is produced and consumed in the country of origin.
