Japan: Japan Proposes Amendments to its Phytosanitary Certificate Requirements

On October 3, 2019, Japan notified the World Trade Organization (WTO) of draft amendments to Japan’s Plant Protection Act regarding phytosanitary certificate requirements. The public comment period for the notification (G/SPS/N/JPN/684) will close on December 2, 2019. Interested U.S. parties are encouraged to send their comments to the U.S. enquiry point (us.spsenquirypoint@fas.usda.gov) by November 25, 2019.
