Japan: ALIC Tenders 750 MT of High Protein NFDM

On November 26, the Agriculture and Livestock Industries Corporation (ALIC) announced that it had successfully tendered 750 metric tons (MT) of non-fat dry milk (NFDM) with a minimum protein content of 35 percent from the United States. Under the U.S.-Japan Trade Agreement, Japan had committed to reserve 750 MT for skimmed milk powder with a minimum protein content of 35 percent as part of its annual global quota.
