India: Timeline Extended on Medical and Therapeutic Specialty Food Imports

On November 2, 2018, the Government of India’s Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) published a notice to extend the timeline for imports of specialty foods for special medical and therapeutic purposes. The earlier November 11, 2016 notification allowed for import of such foods until November 2, 2018. This notification grants a six-month extension or until FSSAI establishes corresponding standards.
