Ethiopia’s food safety regime is still in its early stages. While much of the legal and regulatory framework underpinning this regime is in place, capacity gaps make enforcement difficult. Many of these gaps will gradually be addressed as public awareness of food safety increases. This report discusses the regulatory requirements and standards that must be met in order to ship food and agricultural products to Ethiopia.
