Egypt: Got Milk - Egypt Imports US Holsteins

On November 27, 2019, a shipment of 1,503 U.S.-origin Holstein bred heifers and open heifers sold out of Statesville, North Carolina, and valued at $3 million arrived at Egypt’s Port Said aboard the livestock carrier Sarah. This is the first successful U.S. cattle export shipment to Egypt since 2013, additional shipments are set to arrive by the end of January 2020. One of these shipments is being financed through the GSM-102 Export Credit Program, that is actively being marketed by Post in the Middle East North Africa (MENA) region.
