Burma: Grain and Feed Annual

  |   Attaché Report (GAIN)

Production of rice, beans, and pulses is forecast to decline in MY 2015/16 due to unfavorable weather conditions. Rice exports are expected to decline to 1.5 million metric tons in MY 2015/16 due to lower production. Corn exports, however, are likely to increase in line with sustained demand from China while wheat imports are expected to increase as a result of rising domestic demand.
